Gaetano Di Dio
Art in the Age of Post-Reality
In the era of post-reality, where the boundary between the tangible and the virtual dissolves into an aesthetic short circuit, Gaetano Di Dio emerges as a lucid and visionary artist. A designer, artist, and creative director, his work is an ongoing dialogue between matter and algorithm, between the legacy of classical art and the evolving language of new technologies.
Trained in fashion design at the Politecnico di Milano, with further specialization in art direction, Di Dio has never confined himself to a single medium. His practice seamlessly moves between the physical and the digital, exploring the tension between craftsmanship and technology. After gaining industry experience with Accenture, he chose a radical independent path, co-founding Parallelia with his partner and creative ally, Augusto D’Auria—a platform redefining the paradigms of visual communication in creativity and design.
Born into a family of artists—his father a painter, his mother a jewelry designer—Di Dio carries an innate awareness of artistic expression. However, he pushes it further, dismantling the notion of permanence and celebrating instability as a value. His approach embraces emerging technologies not merely as tools but as co-authors, exploring the idea of generative art that feeds itself, rewrites itself, and reflects on its own existence.
