Anna Chiara Rella is a visual artist born in Salerno and based in Pontecagnano. Her pictorial research focuses on the face as an emotional and symbolic space, explored through an essential and deeply introspective language. Black and white becomes a structural choice for Rella: a subtraction that eliminates the superfluous to allow inner states, silent tensions, and evolving identities to emerge.
In her works, the human figure is never fully defined, but crossed by veils, shadows, and material layers that alter its recognizability. The faces appear as thresholds, fragile presences suspended between appearance and fading, where the gaze and features merge with the painting itself. His practice produces intimate and universal images, capable of evoking a shared emotional dimension, in which the body becomes a place of listening, waiting, and silence.
